La comedia metafísica de multiversos “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (“Todo en todas partes al mismo tiempo”) puso sus “dedos de salchicha” sobre el premio mayor de Hollywood el domingo, llevándose el Óscar a mejor película en los 95 Premios de la Academia.
Aunque estaba a mundos de distancia de ser el clásico señuelo para los Óscar, el ballet anárquico de los directores Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert con bagels, rocas de ojos saltones y una desordenada auditoría fiscal emergió como un improbable peso pesado de los Premios de la Academia.
El éxito independiente, el segundo filme ganador del estudio A24 como mejor película después de “Moonlight” (“Luz de luna”), ganó siete premios Óscar en total.
Cincuenta años después de que “The Godfather” (“El Padrino”) ganara en los Óscar, “Everything Everywhere All at Once” triunfó con una experiencia inmigrante muy diferente. Su historia excéntrica sobre una familia de origen chino, es el segundo largometraje de The Daniels, como se conoce al dúo de cineastas, mezcla ciencia ficción y realidades alternativas en la historia de una mujer ordinaria, dueña de una lavandería.
